Newbie getting on the vlogging train.

Hope everyone is having a awesome day!

So this thread is going to be a little about me and future ideas.

I am new to this website and found out about it through the grape vine.

I bought my first motorcycle back in 2015 and it was a 2015 Honda CB500F and like any new hobby, you always get on youtube and watch vids.
Started watching motovlogs and was like "hey, that's pretty cool".
Motovlogging never really crossed my mind like myself doing it back then just because I was a new rider and I just wanted to get out and ride.

Couple years passed and I bought my first gopro hero 5 mainly just for my hiking trips. When I bought my Kawasaki Z900, motovlogging crossed my mind and having a youtube channel to post vids.

I do some hiking, a lot of road trips (big cross country trip planned in May not on the bike) and riding my bike.

Now I got my helmet setup for motovlogging and have my vlogging equipment ready for other vlogs, I got a question for everybody.

My idea is posting my hiking, traveling and moto vlogs on the one channel.

Should I start this channel and set it up just for motovlogging and keep separate channels or should I put all my vlogs on one channel?

Thanks,
Senpai

I think if you make it clear that it is about multiple styles then it will be fine, maybe make an intro video incorporating all the things you hope to document. You will find that some folk will only watch a specific type of video you post but diversity will allow you to reach a larger audience.

I like the diversity idea!

Making an intro for what my channel is all about is great idea.

Have any recommendations on video editor programs?

Be diverse but as you’re starting up make sure people know you for something at least.

If you’re jack of all trades, you won’t get many people who are loyal so find something rhsgd unique to you

Also - I’ll find it but I made a thread called ‘share a vlogging tip’

Might have some gems for you

To be honest, my channel is a hodgepodge of different stuff and I always wondered if it would hurt. Thinking back now I subscribed to 2 guys that made content specifically on what I like to look at, both guys had c10 trucks with modern chevy engine swaps. One guy started posting about fishing and baseball I I turned off notifications but still am subscribed. The other guy turned started posting mainly garage band country music so I unsubscribed.

With my channel I still wonder if there is just too much stuff going on, since its cars and bikes I think I can related shop stuff in there, then that carries over into house which carries over into pets. See? it just sounds so random.

You can try out both together or separate but personally I prefer separate some may say it's nice to see some diversity but it all depends on your viewers.
