New Motovlogger from the capital city of Nebraska...

RoninK6

Rogue Samurai
Hi all!

A new guy to the forums and to the vlogging community :) . Go by the name of RoninK6 (a Samurai without a master, I could only wish ~o~ ... but it works :p ~) - my channel name on YouTube is a bit different... don't be confused - same channel, same person ;p (goes back to my college days >_> ).....

...but RoninK6 Motovlogs is what to look for, coming to you from Lincoln, Nebraska... also known as fly-over country for you folks on the coasts ;) .

In real life, I'm a worker for taped/live TV and sports production. Back at home, when I do get the chance to get away from the family on my bike, I ride a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600K6 (which rounds out the K6 in my vlogging name ;) ). Love it - something I had been wanting to do for much of my life :D !... nothing like the purr, clicking and speed of a fine-tuned machine underneath your... rump :p !~

Why did I start vlogging??? Hmmm, well, I was first inspired to learn how to ride a motorcycle after watching some vlogs by a local vlogger under the name of HuskerzGBR. What got me into the motorvlogging world was not too long ago I discovered a vlogger in Australia that goes by the name of AdjrianNickelodeon. Although I know I could never match the success that he's accomplished (in fact, I hate talking to myself even though I do it all the time ;p ~), I thought it would be fun to share something I love so much in my spare time :) . It's something a little different than the other stuff that's on my YouTube Channel :o . I love the community of Lincoln, too, so add it all up and you get a plus :) !

Camera set-up: a Sony Action Cam HDR-AS15... bought a used one off of ebay. The thing that attracted my to the Sony Action Cam was the SteadyShot feature - seems to be the best of all helmet cameras. Not the friendliest to get onto the helmet, though :/ ... I had to come up with rather unique set-up to get it onto there (my trailer video on YouTube doesn't have the final set-up yet- had to do software editing - need to test the new set-up out). ...but as always, the Japanese make great things ^_~ !

...oh what else? I love to have fun, am a bit of a hippy, wear Birkenstocks, am a bit of a multicultural buff - drawn towards the Asian world (through marriage, too ;) ), like music, like to make music (instruments), like japanese anime/manga, am a gamer (UT2004), am Buddhist/zen, used to do Tae-kwon-do, all of that good stuff (not too stereotypical, huh >o> ?).....

Thanks for checking out my channel and I welcome you along for the ride :) ! I'm'a sure all our paths will one day cross ^_^ .....

Sincerely,
RoninK6

Also, sorry for the long post ;) ~

(a channel note... I hope to get one actual vlog in before the middle of next week... beginning then, I'll be out of town working for five-whole days straight away from my bike :/ - it's going to be a bit a torture >< !!! *being away from my bike :p *)

My wife is originally from Montana. We met when she lived in England. After 9 years of the weather she couldn't take it any more :) so we moved to a sunny climate that's not too far from her parents.
Cheers for checking out my channel.

Heh, no problem, my pleasure :) !

Your story sounds a bit similar to mine :o ! I fell in love with my wife long distance, went to meet her after half a year, married her half a year after that and lived two years in China while she got her green card. We've been married for nearly 10 years since :D !

I personally have the feeling that cross-cultural marriages are so much more rich than the average... learning about each other's culture and getting to experience it is worth a lifetime of watching about it on TV ;) . My in-laws are a blast, too :D !

Thanks and be safe out on the roads ^_^ !!!

Thanks for the sub and the welcome, man :) ! Did I read somewhere that you're a stay-at-home dad :o ??? Heh, I know how that feels sometimes :p . Kids are great, aren't they? One day you're telling them what to do and the next they're telling you what to do ~o~ . Gott'a love the springtime of youth ;) !

Stay safe out there and see 'ya around :) !

Haha I wish I was a stay at home dad, and that my daughter was old enough for like a 125cc or something :P, I am in the Army but as of late I have been home alot thankfully :P

Oh, my bad, sorry >< !

Army though, huh :) ? I respect that! The Army/military is something I could not do, even if I tried :/ . My dad was in Vietnam for two years during the big push against the allies... after that he went into the Army National Guard part-time for the extra money. Back then it was fun but things really did change over the years. Even though so, he loved the Guard and kept at it up to his mandatory retirement age - a few weeks shy of 30 years of service if I remember right... retired as a 1SG (Headquarters Command). He hates it when I call him "Sarge" but I am darn proud of him!

A long story short - part of an Army family here, so I thank you wholeheartedly for your service :) ! Good man you are - keep it up, soldier ;) !

(...it sounds like you might have been in a theater or two :o ???)

Been to Nebraska before on my way to Arkansas from Seattle.
Hmmm, so you must've taken the I-80 route, then possibly down to Kansas City :o ? Some people say that Nebraska is so boring on the Interstate, but what they don't realize is that if they get off the Interstate into some of the towns on the side (I-80 bypasses most urban areas except for a little of Lincoln and Omaha), they'll discover some real cool things along the way ;) !

Thanks for your reply ^_^ ! Been to Seattle by the way, but the furthest I've ever been southeast is either Louisiana or Virginia. Not-so-much :/ .....
