Howdy all! I'm new around here, and these threads seem to be the best place to start. The name is HowlOnWheels, and I'm a Brooklyn-based vlogger. Been riding for a bit over a year, after starting rather late at 30 (something of a 1/3rd life crisis?). I didn't have more than a distant interest in riding until I actually started watching some videos online from channels like ARidersLife and Jake The GardenSnake. Pulled the trigger on some MSF classes, got a bike and started riding.
This Spring I decided to grab a camera for both safety as well as to test the waters in the Motovlogging community. I started a channel on YouTube in June, and I've got about a dozen videos up so far. Please feel free to take a look and let me know your thoughts!
For my setup, I'm using a Countour +2 with a Drift branded mic, which seems to be working pretty well for me so far. I was impressed with the quality of the sound, given that I'm wearing a Bell Bullitt, which are definitely not the quietest of helmets.
For my bike, I recently moved from a 1972 CB350 to a 1973 CB500. Anyone else out there doing this on a vintage bike? Anyone else out there in NYC? Let's meet up! FYI, going to Bear Mountain this Saturday morning, the 19th.
