Hi all,

I'm new to the whole vlog thing, so new infact, that i am after advice on what camera and mic will work best for me. I ride with an open face helmet, so i,m not sure what mic would work best. I'm based in the Reading area, and it would be cool to meet up with a few others from this area, maybe get some tips from you all as well.

Any way thanks for reading this, and hopefully i will get to know a few of you.

Welcome aboard, yeah open face with mic....:p not really going to work ^^ but give it a shot you never know you might have some luck :P
I would like EDcase has mentioned to go for a fullface...for the sake of your face :p but also for the mic/sound as you won't get that great of a quality sound. :)

Ride safe

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll take a look at the drift and go pro cameras. The helmet subject has been something I have thought about for a while, the whole face/tarmac interface thing is a worry, but I find a full face really hinders my vision. That being said, does anyone know of any cool looking full face helmets, that would suit a cruiser? As I ride a Yamaha xv950

Check Skeggy Cruiser's channel. He's a got a Yam cruiser and wears a black flip front.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, MiGlyRides, i'm surprised you were the only one who noticed the Green Day reference. I'm going to do a bit of research with the two cameras mentioned, and hopefully i can get started with vlogging.

Welcome! Others have said it already, but get a full face helmet or ride very slow when talking as your voice will be drowned out by the wind.
