hi
My handle is 40 year old moto virgin.

I had a plan to get a dirtbike in Jr high school with my buddy and we were going to split the money, then store it in a public storage unit and split the rent.

Well it never happened, and 27 years later, i finally got my first bike.

I started on a GS500F, then I recently upgraded to a GSXR750 k6.

I love riding, technique, learning how to ride better and stay alive.

I also love snowboarding, so its a good hedge when its too cold to ride the moto.

Looking forward to track days this spring and summer, I live about 30 minutes from NJMP.
I also ride some twisties whenever I can, and most of the good ones around here are over in PA.

I try to turn my own wrenches and do most of my own maintenance.

Looking forward to helping, and sharing info!

There are still many first times in my moto life

Firsts
1. Track Day
2. I get my knee down
3. Riding the tail of the dragon
4. riding in the rain

many many more awesome firsts
and the bad firsts, I hope to avoid too
speeding tickets, lowside, highside, etc.

Any rain riding makes you a better rider! I had an advanced lesson on bends on a very wet day. I can't ride that road safely any faster in the dry because of it. Does help my tyres just keep gripping :)

Welcome, we have some Serious rain over here in Queensland & it does help greatly when learning what you & your bike can do & recently it's taught me about tyres as well, I have Angel GT tyres now and I went out first ride up some mountains to scrub them in & it seriously rained half way through and they just kept gripping, whereas the stock ones went to shit in the Wet & inspired much less confidence.

So You haven't already you have another First to look forward to - First time riding with a new set of tyres (apart form stock ones)
