Has anyone got any feedback or advice from my first vlog?
You are Welcome Hunga. :) Your first vlog was great. I think just do it as you see fit. If you want to talk about your hometown, that is ok. I hope you get to ride in the city sometime. I would love to see the cities like Auckland and Wellington, so I can show my oldest brother what it looks like now. He and I talked about him getting a motorcycle recently at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, but he is still hesitant to get one. Most of my brothers rode dirt bikes when I was growing up, and now they are all afraid to get on one, even like my sport tourer bike. I do not understand it.

Cool :) Yeah I sort of plan to get a road bike sometime in the future. I know I would love it but the roads here are quite dangerous and I just know so many people that have died riding on the road. Like seriously I know at least 10 people that have died and everyone else I know that rides or has ridden in the past has had a serious crash at least once - most of them life changing. As soon as I can justify it I will be getting a road bike haha. On a lighter note if you want to show your brother some of Wellington TankGrrl is a great motovlogger from there :)

Oh, Ok. Cool, I will show my brother TankGrrl's page. Yeah it sucks that so many people have died riding on the road there. Just in Nebraska here in the USA, there were about 5 deaths on motorcycles. One of those, I went to the candlelight vigil for the girl that was killed when I went up to Nebraska a few weeks ago. Here is an article about it at: http://www.wowt.com/home/headlines/Fatal-Motorcycle-Accident-In-Lincoln-269962171.html .There was a candlelight vigil that I went to, that was to honor the memory of the girl that was killed. I have it on my channel under "My Vacation Video 8-3-2014", and the news story about it is here at: http://www.klkntv.com/story/26211262/hundreds-remember-motorcycle-crash-victim . This is a news report about the fatalities in Lincoln at: http://www.klkntv.com/category/190066/klkn-channel-8-video?clipId=10494294&autostart=true . I am surprised there has not been any this year that I know of in Arkansas, with this state being a No Helmet state, that has a lot of twisties, crazy cagers, and pretty countryside.

Yeah that is a bit strange there haven't been any, but still its a very good thing :)
About 5 mins from my house there is a really dangerous intersection that everyone has to cross to get anywhere.
A couple of years ago within a couple of weeks of each other about 4 motorcyclists died there :(
It looks like we're doing well so far this year not many deaths that I can find.
But I guess the thing to remember is that it can happen to anyone anywhere even on dirt bikes.
This was a guy I knew and I was actually on that ride as well: http://www.3news.co.nz/nznews/teen-dead-in-taranaki-motorbike-race-2014020714

Or this poor kid:

Yeah, that sucks to hear. The accidents here in Arkansas has mainly been motor vehicle accidents as you can probably see from this web site at: http://asp.arkansas.gov/services-and-programs/detail/highway-safety-office. It looks like they have not updated it in a while.
Yep, it can happen anwhere at anytime, and that is why I wear my gear every time I ride.

Preach it brother :)
I find it interesting that the Arkansas population is about 3 million and you average 500 fatal crashes per year and the New Zealand population is 4.5 million yet we average only 250 fatal crashes per year.
http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/road-deaths/toll.html#accidents
Seems a bit odd.
I saw someone said somewhere "dress for the crash, not the ride" or something like that.
Sums it up pretty good I think haha.

BTW, is that syndrome from some injury or something??? From what I read, it sounds life threatening :o !

From what I've been told by my physio it was probably caused by overuse of my muscles.
It's hard to pin down exactly what might have caused it but in my case I am just naturally quite muscular so it could just be a natural thing.
Anyways I'll probably cover it all in a vlog soon.
It's not life-threatening at the moment as I have the chronic version but could potentially turn that way if I severely overuse my arms or legs although it's very unlikely.
Should make for an interesting vlog topic :)

Yep, it is interesting, and odd at the same time.
Yep, the "dress for the crash, not the ride" is what I live by.
Surprising how this state yet has a lane filtering law, yet this state has a no helmet law, and has been that way since these videos were done:
and this one at:
I think most of the fatal crashes are caused by people either texting while driving, or talking on their cell phone while driving.

I found this website when it comes to helmet laws by each state: http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/PrintLaws.html , and this one at: http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/Rights/State-Laws.aspx?stateid=4 . This link talks about Arkansas Law, as it stands now. Even though it is not listed, I have talked with some local cops recently, and that is what they say, that lane splitting is illegal in this state.

Yeah cellphones are lethal so it's a good thing we outlawed texting and talking while driving a few years ago.
I thought it was interesting that Arkansas doesn't require turn signals on motorcycles, I'm not sure what the law in NZ says about that so I'll check it out.

yeah, it is interesting that Arkansas does not require turn signals on motorcycles. That is the first I have heard about it. It is good that at least one country has outlawed texting and talking on cell phones while driving. Here in the states, people do that a lot.
Can not wait to hear what NZ has when it comes to turn signals on motorcycles.
